Dec 2015: Chestnut Hill Realty filed its second 40B proposal with MassDevelopment:
- 226 Units
- 6 story building containing 186 units
- 3 2.5 story bldgs
- renovation of 28 existing apts.
- 256000 sf residential space
- 100000 sf garage space
66 1BR, 128 2BR, 20 3BR, 12 4BR = 480 BR
The proposed development is located on Sherman Road at the Brookline/Boston border.
Despite the massive impact of this 40B in combination with the previously approved 40B on an adjoining site, Mass Development granted a Project Eligibility Letter for the project on 4/6/2016.
On 4/11/2016, Chestnut Hill Realty submitted its 40B Comprehensive Permit Application to Brookline. The application and plans can be found here.
In 2016, ZBA hearings on this development were suspended in favor of negotiations between CHR, Brookline and neighborhood plaintiffs on a lawsuit over the first 40B project, Residences of South Brookline.
